By: Subject(s): Abstract: Metastasis has always been a problem for patients with tumors. As we all know surgical resection offers the only chance for cure. However few patients have a resectable tumor at the time of diagnosis, because of underlying cirrhosis, involvement of both hepatic lobes or distant metastasis. But in selected cases treatment may prolong life. And in having the correct diagnosis of the tumor and the site of metastasis, we may know the correct stage and prognosis. It is also important because it guides us to the proper mode of treatment to use be it surgical or medical, provided it prolongs the survival of the patient. The common sites for metastasis from hepcatocellular carcinoma is the lungs, brain, bones and other organs. This is a case of a forty year old male who came in for hematochezia.
