Mission Statement

Serving health through knowledge and civic commitment

Our Commitment

The DOH Knowledge Resource Center exists to serve the health professionals, researchers, and administrators of the Department of Health by providing equitable, reliable access to evidence-based medical literature, policy documents, and public health resources. We recognize that informed decisions save lives — and our role is to ensure that every DOH staff member has the knowledge they need to fulfill their mandate of service to the Filipino people.

We are committed to curating, organizing, and making accessible the most current and authoritative health information — fulfilling our civic duty as stewards of the national health agency's knowledge infrastructure.

Core Values

  • Public Service: We place the needs of the Filipino people and DOH staff at the center of every decision we make.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: We champion the use of credible, peer-reviewed information in health policy and clinical decision-making.
  • Equity and Access: We believe every DOH staff member — regardless of rank or station — deserves equal access to quality health information.
  • Integrity: We maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, data accuracy, and ethical information stewardship.

Our Pillars

Evidence-Based Care

We provide DOH clinicians and researchers with peer-reviewed journals, clinical guidelines, and health databases to support evidence-based decision-making.

Civic Duty

As a government library, we fulfill our obligation to the public trust by ensuring health information serves the national interest and advances public health outcomes.

Open Access

We actively promote open access to health knowledge, reducing barriers that prevent staff from accessing the resources they need to serve the nation.
