Endometrioid carcinoma arising from pelvic endometriosis : a report of three cases / Eileen M. Manalo, Augusto M. Manalo
Subject(s): Abstract: Using Sampsons criteria, malignant transformation and endometriosis was described in three cases encountered. This phenomenon was explained on the basis of a biologic similarity between normally located and ectopic endometrial tissue. Suspicion of malignant transformation can be made based on changes in the patients clinical presentation and findings on laparatomy.
